Summer is in full swing and many of you are beginning to see the fruits of your labors. Our gardens are starting to burst with squash, tomatoes, zucchini, beets, radishes, flowers and so much more. While most of us can't possibly grow everything, we can certainly swap what we've got with our friends and neighbors. Exchanging some of the extras from our summer harvest allows for access to a greater variety of locally grown produce and maybe even a chance to try something new.
Thursday, August 14 @ 6:30 PM marks the first day of our 4th Annual Rose Park Revival Crop Swap at Steenblik Park. Other Crop Swap dates this year include August 28, September 11 and possibly September 25 (depending on weather and remaining crop availability). All of these dates fall on a Thursday evening and we'll begin at 6:30 PM on each date.
More information about the 2014 Crop Swap will soon follow.
Also, if any of you are interested in serving on the Crop Swap Committee this year, please contact Brad Rogers at email@example.com. The total time commitment over a two month period is approximately 12 hours. We have a committee meeting scheduled for the evening of August 5 and we'd love to welcome some new faces and fresh perspectives!
